About Festival

"Brooklyn Outdoor Film Festival" just got the approval to show movies at Brooklyn Bridge Park this year from August 5th through 8th, from 6pm to midnight.

We can't wait to help the public discover these awesome films!

The Brooklyn Outdoor Film Festival, is an International, competitive festival. BOFF mission is to provide a public forum in Brooklyn in order to advance public interest in films and the independent production of films. To draw worldwide attention to Brooklyn as a center for cinema. To encourage the rights of all Brooklyn residents to access and experience the power of independent filmmaking, and to promote artistic excellence and the creative freedom of artists without censure. BOFF, inc. is a not-for-profit organization.

BOFF is a summer must that has earned a large and loyal following. Since its launch in 2000, we’ve wowed, entertained, thrilled, and pulled at the heartstrings of over 500,000 moviegoers, making our program one of New York City’s favorite summer film series.

BOFF takes place in July and August. There is no better place to be on a hot summer night than watching a classic film and enjoying the breeze off of the East River from Harbor View Lawn with the dazzling Manhattan skyline before you.
